MISSION STATEMENT

QPC’S mission is to achieve better and more professional employee bargaining agreements and awards with representation for all paramedics/QAS staff regardless of rank by gaining industrial registration before 2013.  Better care for paramedics/QAS staff after injury or illness through individual membership of the Australian Paramedic foundation; free housing for rural paramedics within the next two years and provide advice and support to all members on both joint and individual issues. QPC’S vision is to have a majority membership by 2013 and strive for their professional recognition through National Registration by 2014.

To become a member of the QPC, you must be a current employee of the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS).

All members of the QPC are expected to respect the rules and bylaws in their association with the QPC.

The strength of the QPC is, and will always remain, with the membership. QPC offers many benefits to its membership including:

- Professional industrial relations, human resources and workplace health and safety support;

- Legal support where necessary;

- A plan to become industrially registered in Queensland.

- $2 of your full time membership or $1 of your part time membership will go towards the Queensland Paramedic Foundation.

The Queensland Paramedic Council encourages every Queensland Ambulance Service employee to become a member. This enables the Association to better represent the rights of its members. The fortnightly membership fee finances the substantial costs of operation throughout the State. Without this financial support, it would be impossible for the Association to achieve its objectives. The Association encourages full support and involvement by all members.
