Association Goals
The Queensland Paramedic Council was formed so all members of the Queensland ambulance service could have a body that would independently represent only Queensland Ambulance staff.
The first thing we intend to fight for is the removal of the conveniently belong rule which dictates that we must have permission from the body that represents staff to start an organisation which intends to do the same, we believe this is wrong and will lobby the Government to have it removed.
Once this rule is removed we will apply to become industrially registered in order to improve pay and conditions for all staff within the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS).
- Industrial registration or right to bargain for paramedics in Queensland.
- Professional recognition for paramedics in Queensland.
- Work related pay rates for emergency medical dispatchers in Queensland.
- Free housing for rural paramedics in Queensland.
- Support the Australian Paramedic Foundation through financial membership of our members.
These goals are all reflected in our Mission Statement.
